Viral Video: International Babywearing Week

This viral moment forecasts a long tradition in babywearing awareness

A mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do. And, in this case, while on the job, this mom cleverly showcased the multitasking opportunity that babywearing offers. What makes this so special, you might ask? Well, this mom presented her weekend weather forecast live, while also wearing her toddler son!

Meteorologist Susie Martin didn’t have an unfortunate childcare mix up, she instead used her platform to highlight what she calls a “passion” and “invaluable tool” (babywearing) during International Babywearing Week for the first time back in 2017. It was so well received that she has continued the tradition each year, gaining the most attention in 2018 while her then toddler son dozed during her weather report. This year, she brought along a new special guest to continue the tradition.

We love seeing examples of babywearing showcased in such a public way. This mom advocate is not only promoting such a beneficial practice for moms, babies and the rest of their families, but also shines a light on an example of a positive workplace that supports moms!
