"Rochelle, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your efforts in the childbirth class you taught. We're still waiting (not so patiently) for our delivery, but my husband and I agreed that having all of the knowledge provided has taken away some of the stress about labor. After talking with lots of women both currently, recently, and years ago pregnant, I have realized how few are informed about what they will be going through and I'm relieved not to be in that category.
In our near 4 years of marriage, my husband has NEVER been the massage type, neither to give or receive. The one time he tried he actually gave me a bigger cramp than I had in the first place! But as of late, whenever he sees me uncomfortable he jumps at the opportunity to help and the techniques that you taught have been a lifesaver on my back.  We're getting lots of practice. Thank you!
There is such value in what you do, and you must impact so many people. Thank you for making the learning process something we could enjoy and be comfortable with. We can't wait to see you for our reunion in a couple of months." - Shannon and Michael G.

"I am so grateful for the breastfeeding help Rochelle offered us as I had so many hurdles to tackle.  My first experience breastfeeding with my older child was not a positive nor successful one, so I was determined to make this time work.  Rochelle kept my momentum going by individually addressing my myriad of concerns (tongue tied baby, mangled nipples, using a nipple shield, weaning from a nipple shield, over abundant milk supply, pumping, bottle feeding, milk supply and going back to work, and the list goes on….) either by in office appointments or via phone.  She would even call me on her own after a few weeks time to just 'check my head' and make sure I was ok and offer support.  It seemed every week there was a new issue to resolve, but I am so happy to report that we are now 14 weeks into a successful breastfeeding experience and I know Rochelle is to thank.  It is not often you find someone so devoted to helping people with such pure intentions, and I know I would have given up long ago if it weren’t for her.  Thank you SO MUCH Rochelle and Babies in Bloom!!!"  - Tracy M., Oceanside

"Dear Rochelle, I just wanted to let you now how much I enjoyed your childbirth education class. My husband and I both agreed on how informative it was to us. Now we truly feel like we are ready to bring our baby into this world. So thank you for making the class entertaining yet information packed. I hope to see you after I deliver my little bundle of joy.  Thanks again, with love." - Ceanna and Jeffrey C.

"My husband and I selected Rochelle at Babies in Bloom to be our Doula and Lactation consultant for the birth of our first baby. With all the fears and anxieties of bringing a newborn into the world, Rochelle was a huge blessing to us! She visited our home and helped us develop a birth plan to ensure that the labor and delivery were as close to our expectations and hopes as possible. She educated us on the medical aspects and decision making process that can unfold during labor. She answered questions about epidurals, c-sections, episiotomies, when to go to the hospital, and positioning during delivery. Having a doula ready and on-call for our big day gave us reassurance. She was there for us as our coach, emotional support, and even our personal photographer! We were amazed at the science of breast feeding and how incredibly important it was for our  new baby. She visited our home several times in the first 2 months of our baby's life to answer questions about nursing, teach proper latching technique, and ensure comfort for me (mom)! My husband was not sure how he would feel about having someone else be present during the birth of our daughter but found that having someone else to reinforce our decision making and give suggestions on positioning and how else to support me was a huge relief. We can't say enough about Rochelle's help and the overall blessing she has been to our family." - K. Lawson, Escondido

"My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Rochelle through Tri-City's birthing classes. We found her to be a truly calming voice during our pregnancy. I count my lucky stars for having met Rochelle through the class. After my daughter was born, I didn't realize how much difficulty I would have with nursing her. Luckily, I had Rochelle's number still so I called her during my major hormonal storm, in tears. Rochelle was AMAZING! She came to my house twice, on short notice, and made me feel so comfortable and normal for feeling the way I was feeling (scared, disappointed in myself, unworthy!). She calmed me down and put me on the road to nursing success! When I was ready to go back to work I purchased my pump from her. She brought it to my house and showed me how to put it together and told me to call her if I ever had any questions. She was incredibley helpful and resourceful. Rochelle is a wealth of information. I only wish I had worked with her as my doula! Definitely for Baby #2!! THANK YOU for being my guardian angel, Rochelle!" - Elaine L, Carlsbad

"My husband and I were expecting our first child and we were overjoyed!  We knew this was going to be an experience we would remember forever. To ensure that we were prepared for the upcoming labor and delivery we decided to take a prepared childbirth class.  Our expectation of this class was to walk away with a clear picture of all the possibilities that we could encounter during the birth of our child. We found the class to be extremely helpful! Our childbirth educator, Rochelle McLean made the classroom environment comfortable, fun and interactive. We learned so much and gained some friends along the way.
During our class we learned about doulas and the services that they provide. We immediately knew this was something we wanted and we knew just the person we wanted to have. We met with Rochelle and were even more certain that she was the one. We connected well with her and felt very comfortable asking her any questions we had.  Rochelle is extremely knowledgeable and is truly passionate about childbirth. It was so refreshing to have someone like Rochelle by our side during and after the pregnancy, labor and delivery to call on for advice. One of the things that we respect most about Rochelle is that she will tell you the pros and the cons to whatever advice you ask her while never disclosing how she personally feels about it. We found her to be completely objective and didn’t persuade our decision one bit.
My husband and I knew that we wanted our labor to be a special moment between the two of us.  We did not want anyone there to take away from this amazing moment in time.  We didn’t want to be overwhelmed with fear or hesitation that we missed the specialness that childbirth can bring.  I wanted my husband to be there as a support to me, as well as to be able to enjoy the long-awaited birth of our child without stress, fears or uncertainty of his role or what he should do.  We had learned a lot of great techniques during our class, but what were the chances that we would remember it all when it was time and we were in the moment?
Rochelle was AMAZING!! She was a great support to us. Having Rochelle there actually enhanced our childbirth experience and helped us both to relax.  I had horrible back labor and Rochelle showed my husband where to apply pressure to help relieve some of the pain and discomfort I was having.  Having Rochelle apply pressure on one side and my husband on the other was wonderful! She was positive, encouraging and understanding throughout our entire labor.  We loved having Rochelle be a part of our daughter’s birth and can’t imagine our next childbirth experience without her."  - Beth and Greg, Oceanside
